SOL IXENT BUILDINGANDORRA LA VELLA
ANDORRA LA VELLA - CONTEMPORARY STYLE - RESIDENTIAL PROJECT – 5,450 m² – 2019
A building that activates the city and rises towards an exceptional way of living.
Sol Ixent is born in one of the liveliest points of Andorra la Vella, opposite Avinguda Meritxell. Far from being an isolated object, the project understands architecture as an active part of urban life, creating a base that dialogues with the street and an upper body reserved for intimacy and comfort.
Residential and urban architecture
Urban life at the base, calm and luxury above.
The first two floors open up to the city through commercial uses that bring activity, rhythm and presence to the public realm. Large glazed surfaces and a ventilated stone façade create a direct relationship between interior and street, reinforcing the dynamic character of the country’s most important commercial axis.
Architecture that transforms the noise of the city into privacy and light.
As the building rises, the architecture changes. The volumes step back, releasing generous south-facing terraces and moving progressively away from urban noise. This transition creates a clear shift in scale: from the intensity of the city to a quieter, more controlled residential atmosphere.
The residential floors are organised around generous, bright and functional spaces, where large windows, warm materials and restrained finishes create balanced and comfortable interiors. The interior architecture prioritises clarity, flexibility and a constant relationship with the outside.
A triplex chalet in the sky: a unique way of living in the city.
The top three floors house a luxury triplex chalet that becomes an exceptional piece within the urban fabric. A home in the air, with generous terraces, constant light and open views, combining the privacy and comfort of a single-family house with the advantage of being in the very centre of the city.
From the street to the views: a sequence of spaces designed for better living.
Sol Ixent is a sequence of uses, scales and experiences. From the energy of the street to the exclusivity of the upper triplex, the project shapes a coherent, precise architecture designed to endure over time.
