Residential | Living in an alpine environment

Alpine architecture reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective.

Located at an altitude of 1,850 metres, in the Grandvalira domain, the project is set at the foot of the slopes, in an enclave where the mountain is not a background landscape but a direct condition of living. The architecture embraces this proximity and builds an experience where refuge, materials, and scale engage in a constant dialogue with the snowy surroundings.

Refurbishment and coherence with the context.

The project arises from the transformation of an existing building, respecting its original structure to maintain visual and functional continuity with the Hermitage Hotel and Village complex. The volumetry preserves the traditional language of the country, combining stone, iron, and timber in a balance between local heritage and contemporary sensibility.

Timber as structure, atmosphere, and language.

Walls, ceilings, and floors are unified under a warm materiality that envelops the space and enhances the sense of continuity. Timber does not act as a decorative cladding, but rather as a structural and emotional element, recovering the construction logic of the mountains. Natural stone and metal details complete an honest and timeless palette.

Generous, open, and deeply connected spaces.

The building houses nine exclusive residences, with floor areas ranging between 120 and 500 m² The day areas are organised in open-plan layouts where the kitchen, dining, and living rooms relate to each other without rigid hierarchies. Large glass panes frame direct views of the ski slopes and allow natural light to shape the interior throughout the day, reinforcing the constant connection with the valley.

Serene luxury interior design.

Noble materials, visual continuity, and a contained palette build a comfortable, elegant, and functional environment, aligned with the excellence and hospitality of the Sport Hotels Resort & Spa complex. Here, luxury is perceived through material quality and precision of detail, rather than formal excess.

Technical excellence at the summit.

Living at almost two thousand metres demands an impeccable construction response. The building guarantees superior thermal comfort through reinforced insulation and low-temperature radiant heating. A cogeneration system optimises energy consumption, allowing sustainability and wellbeing to coexist in this high-mountain refuge.

Living the mountain as a permanent experience.

More than a seasonal residence, the project proposes a way of living linked to wellbeing, natural rhythm, and direct proximity to the landscape.
An architecture that understands luxury as a balance between matter, technique, and emotion.
