ANDORRA LA VELLA - CONTEMPORARY STYLE - RESIDENTIAL PROJECT – 10,000 m² – 2023

An urban piece that captures the city’s contemporary pulse.

Positioned on one of the most significant axes in Andorra la Vella, Edifici Meritxell 68–70 is conceived as a mixed-use architecture that articulates city, landscape and everyday life. The building integrates into the continuity of the green axis, blurring the boundary between public and private space and creating a serene yet expressive presence that accompanies the movement, light and shifting scale of the urban setting.

A façade conceived as a living skin in constant transformation.

The envelope is designed as an active surface that responds to light and to the passage of time. The translucent aluminium cladding acts as a sensitive skin that, throughout the day, shifts in tone from deeper graphite nuances to warmer champagne reflections. This chromatic variation anchors the building to its setting, reflecting the sky, the climate and the urban rhythm, while giving it a sophisticated and contemporary identity.

Architecture integrated into the mountain landscape with a current urban expression.

The project stems from the desire to engage in dialogue with the mountain surroundings characteristic of Andorra without renouncing the cosmopolitan and luxurious character of the city today.

Volumes that bring rhythm, depth and life to the building.

The volumetry and materiality establish a balanced transition between landscape and urban fabric, combining sobriety, elegance and an architectural presence that reflects the present without stridency.

Luminous interiors for contemporary living.

The homes are organised through generous, flexible and customisable spaces designed to respond to today’s ways of living. The interior architecture prioritises the entry of natural light, spatial continuity and the sensory quality of materials. Natural timber and mineral-toned finishes bring warmth, depth and timeless value, creating balanced environments that foster wellbeing, calm and a sense of comfort.

Integrated lighting and high-performance joinery reinforce a serene and sophisticated atmosphere in which architecture intuitively accompanies the everyday experience of space.
